This guitar parts video is about manually tuning an electric guitar. The most effective method of tuning an electric guitar manually is to use a piano as a reference. Tuning your guitar’s 6th string to the first E below middle C on the piano is the most accurate method. Absolute tuning is not really necessary if you’re playing alone or with a group of instruments tuned together. Your main goal should be to have the guitar tuned with itself and with the other instruments it’s played with.
