Van Halen’s Right Now is a rock song written for their album named Unlawful Carnal Knowledge. Right Now is about living for the moment and not being afraid of change. Sammy Hagar, Van Halen’s vocalist, has said that he was at the studio late one night writing the lyrics and he heard Eddie Van Halen in another room working on a piano melody. When Hagar realized that they were actually working on the same song he joined Van halen and began singing his words over top of the music.
