Miles of Machines | Jeff Loomis

Jeff Loomis is the lead guitarist for the influential metal band Nevermore. Jeff is a player of many influences and styles and is often referred to as one of the world’s most talented metal guitarists. He released the solo album entitled Zero Order Phase in 2008 that featured guest appearances by guitarists Ron Jarzombek, Pat O’Brien, OFZ producer Neil Kernon and legendary jazz bassist Michael Manring. At the tender age of 16 he auditioned for a spot with Megadeth but was turned down mostly because of his age.

Jeff Loomis teamed with Warrel Dane and Jim Sheppard both former Sanctuary members in 1994 and esablished the band Nevermore with Loomis becoming the lead guitarist. Loomis along with Van Williams left Nevermore in April 2011 citing personal and musical differences with Warrel Dane.
